I painted the laundry room yesterday. Earlier in the week, I removed the laundry tub to make that job easier, only to learn that the shutoff valves for the faucet were not working (they did not fully stop the flow of water). It was around 8:30 pm so I didn’t really have the option of running to the hardware store for new shutoff valves since they close at 9. In a flash of brilliance, I had the idea to remove the faucet from the laundry tub and reinstall it on the supply lines. So, now I have a faucet hanging off the wall. I’m replacing both the tub and the faucet just as soon as my new faucet gets here. Anyway, the reason I’m doing all of this is so that I can put a fake beam on the ceiling where the pipes and wires are.
This morning, I went to the office to prepare to paint the bathroom. I dusted the walls and ceiling and cleaned the trim (which will be painted) and the wainscoting (which will not be painted). The next step is to actually paint something there. I’m going to do the ceiling, trim, and walls on separate days (and not necessarily in that order).
This afternoon, I went to my parents’ house for a belated birthday celebration for my sister-in-law. It might have been her celebration, but I got my birthday/Mother’s Day gifts from my parents. I’ve been wanting one of those bird feeders with the camera in it and my mom saw one on sale and bought it for me. I got it early to make sure that it works–it does not appear to have a warranty. I’m so excited! I put it together this evening and it’s on the charger. I’m going to download the app tomorrow and put it outside just as soon as the weather cooperates.
