the infiltrator

After Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston starred in this movie, playing a customs official who goes undercover in Pablo Escobar’s drug cartel. The film was based on the autobiography of Robert Mazur. Pretty good!

accused

This was another good book from Scottoline. It was from her Rosato series, which is my favorite. There is nothing innovative going on here; just some more hijinks from Mary DiNunzio.

My rating: 3.5/5

I was a huge fan of The Tonight Show back in the day (both with Johnny Carson and Jay Leno). I had always wanted to see the show live, but that never happened. So, when I heard Jay Leno was coming to Greensburg, I had to go. Everyone else did, too, as it was a full house. If you’ve seen Jay Leno’s opening monologue, those are the kinds of jokes he did. It was a fun night!

great crossings bridge

This has been all over the news, so I had to see it. The Youghiogheny River Lake has receded due to drought conditions, and the Great Crossings Bridge—usually under 50 feet of water—has been revealed. The Great Crossings Bridge was the original bridge for the river, and it was lost when the reservoir was created. You can read more about it here. It was definitely worth the trip!
