Tonight, I mixed up my first of four wine kits for the year, a South African Shiraz. I’ve been meaning to do this since we last bottled and finally found the motivation to do it today–namely the realization that I already have three kits sitting in the family room with fourth kit on the way. The Shiraz kits I’ve made in the past have all come out really well, so I have high expectations for this one, too. Making wine got me thirsty, so I pulled out the last bottle of Pinot Noir we made a few years ago. Mmm.
