On Sunday, we went to Pour on Center to celebrate my mom’s and dad’s birthdays. Their food is so good (and so are their cocktails)! Since I’m the official cake-maker, I made the birthday cake. I wanted to do it in a 13×9 inch pan this year, but as it turned out, I didn’t have one (well, I had a glass one, but those aren’t great for making cakes), so I had to run to Michael’s and buy one on Saturday. Problem solved.
I had a super extra long weekend (Thursday through Sunday off) so I got a lot of stuff done around the house, too. The end of the summer is looming and I need to wrap up a couple of things on my to-do list before that happens.
