I’m back! Holy crap, was it a busy week. Just the usual stuff, but kicked up a notch. So, we relaxed this evening by watching some light fare.
Dan in Real Life was billed as a romantic comedy. While it had some funny moments, it wasn’t a laugh riot or anything. Steve Carell played the main character, a widower raising three daughters, who fell instantly in love with a woman he met at a bookstore. (Unlike many of his other roles, he was very likable in this movie.) As it turns out, the woman was his brother’s girlfriend. Oops! You can probably imagine how it turns out, so I won’t bore you with the details. I’m not sure whether to recommend this movie or not–I didn’t dislike it, but it’s not one that will keep you thinking, either.
